Rhodes

The capital and largest island in the Dodecanese Rhodes has a population of around 120,000. The island’s primary economic sectors are tourism, agriculture, and fishing.

Millions of tourists come to Rhodes every year to appreciate its natural beauty, history, and culture, tourism is the island’s major sector. Olives, citrus fruits, grapes, local wines, olive oil production, and vegetables are among the many crops that the island’s fertile soil produces, and fishing is still a significant source of income for many local communities.

The island enjoys over 300 days of sunshine each year and is steeped in history, with ancient ruins, medieval architecture, and charming traditional villages to explore. Visitors to Rhodes can bask on the golden sands of its stunning beaches, explore significant archaeological sites, swim in crystal-clear water, and enjoy a wide variety of water sports. The island also offers a vibrant nightlife scene with plenty of bars, clubs, and restaurants to choose from. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing beach holiday, a cultural escape, or a lively party atmosphere, Rhodes has something to offer for everyone.
